Elegant Family Living

Set in lush gardens and mature trees this elegant family home had good bones and spacious light filled rooms to work with.

The existing kitchen was given an update by lacquering the red cabinets to white and replacing the splashback with rectangular mosaic tiles. This was a simple update which instantly modernised the room.

Sharing the open space with the kitchen is the family room that flows outside to an inviting patio space. The clients brief was to keep this room casual and relaxed which is reflected in the selected furnishings.

New furniture for the sitting room included Simon James chairs covered in a patterned fabric "mimicking the colours from the garden outside

A jungle themed wallpaper installed in the guest bathroom was chosen for the colour and leaf design as a direct link to the garden view beyond the window.

The master bedroom was completely refurbished including wallpaper and drapes. There was ample room to add a desk overlooking the pool.

A few years later I was delighted to be called back to assist the family in renovating the two downstairs area's to a gym room and a breakout space for the teenagers.
