Pantone announced colour of the year 2020 is Classic Blue.
Described as a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk.
Blue is the colour of both the sky and the sea,and is said to evoke clarity, pureness and increased intuition.
Deep blues through to rich turquoises and soft powder blues are colours that create vibrant and inspiring interior schemes.
Consider textiles, drapes, rugs, cushions or homewares for adding a pop of blue into your room.
Blue and white is a timeless and classic combination which brings a fresh feel to any space.
Rich Blue looks expensive and elegant. Paint walls in navy contrasted with white ceilings and architraves for a stunning and sophisticated room.
Opposites attract. Combine blue furniture with pops of gold for a classic blue and yellow scheme or opt for shades of copper, burnt orange or coral.
On a recent visit to Morocco I was in awe to visit the charming city of Chefchaoen. The entire medina is painted in varying shades of blue on the walls, pavements and stairs. Some locals say the blue symbolises the sky and heaven and serves as a reminder to lead a spiritual life, others say it keeps the mosquito’s away. No one knows for sure why it is blue however is sure looks good.
The colour Blue is timeless, classic and on trend for 2020.
